Mark your calendars — we’re teaming up with Jasper Winery to host our very first Summer Sip n’ Shop on Saturday, July 26, from 2–6 PM.

Each vendor will receive:

  • A designated 10x10 booth space
  • Our signature Vendor Toolkit (social media graphics, checklists, and promo materials)

  • Printed signage for your booth

  • Logo placement on our website and social media

  • Access to a gallery of professional event photos and videos (delivery timeline shared before the event)

  • Booth Fee: $150 

Please note: This event is for local small business owners only. We do not accept direct sales brands.

FAQ

BOOTH INFORMATION
The cost per booth is $150.  When submitting your payment, please be sure to include your business name in the comments and a link to your business in the comments. Please read the cancelation policy for more information. Each booth is approximately 10x10 feet. Each booth will be measured and marked for our vendors. We ask that our vendors remain mindful of their neighbors and keep their displays within their designated space. This will also help with the flow of the event and keep the pathways from becoming too congested. Booths will be placed strategically to be as fair as possible to each vendor meaning that if you are selling jewelry you won't be placed in a space next to someone who also sells jewelry. 


LOCATION & SET UP INFORMATION
The Look Local First Holiday Sip n' Shop will be held at Jasper Winery located at 2400 George Flagg Pkway, Des Moines, IA 50321. There will be designated parking for vendors to the left of the building. Vendor set-up & check-in starts at 11:00 AM and vendors should be fully set up and ready to go by 2:00 PM.  Teardown will start at 6:00 PM and should be completed by 7:00 PM. When you arrive, you will check in with our team. From there, our team will take you to your designated booth. We will have the Look Local First team as well as volunteers available to assist vendors throughout set-up. Please DO NOT leave your booth unattended. Look Local First and Jasper Winery are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. If you are working your booth alone, a member of our staff can keep an eye on your booth for bathroom breaks, phone calls, etc. Please make sure you have a sign that states when you are away. We will provide all vendors with a phone number to text/call on the day of the event in case of emergencies. 

VENDOR SALES TAX & REFUND POLICIES 
You are responsible for collecting your own sales tax in accordance with Iowa sales tax laws. You are required to apply for an Iowa State Sales Tax permit. Vendors must have a refund/return policy displayed somewhere at their booth. Refund policies are at the discretion of each vendor. 

CANCELATION POLICY 
The event is indoors. In the event of inclement weather or poor road conditions, Look Local First and Des Moines Heritage Center will work to adjust event times as necessary to ensure everyone's safety. This will be communicated with vendors via email and text. We will keep a close eye on weather predictions the week of the event and communicate accordingly. If the event has to be canceled due to inclement weather, we will work to get the event rescheduled as soon as possible. If vendors need to cancel for any reason, it must be done by Sunday, July 20th, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST. A refund of $125 dollars will be issued. Any cancellations after July 20th, 2025, will forfeit your entire booth fee.  

VENDOR TOOLKIT  & MARKETING 
Look Local First will provide all approved vendors with a digital toolkit. It will contain social media graphics, content strategies, event checklists and more! This will be sent via email on May 5th, 2025. If you do not receive your digital toolkit, please contact us via email at aanders@vizypay.com. We will post vendor logos on our website under the designated Events tab. We will also share & spotlight our vendors throughout our social media! Each vendor also has an opportunity to contribute to our event-exclusive swag bag. These will be handed out to the first 100 shoppers. If you plan to make a swag bag contribution please let us know. 

PHOTO AND VIDEO 
Look Local First will be capturing video and photos throughout the event. All photos will be shared with all vendors afterward via an online gallery. Please allow up to 10 business days to receive photos from the event. These photos can be used on your social media, website, and advertisements as long as you refrain from removing the small Look Local First watermark. By agreeing to be a vendor at the Look Local First Summer Sip n' Shop, you are agreeing to allow photos taken during the event to be shared on Look Local First and Jasper Winery and participating vendors' social media, website, and future event advertisements. 

GIVEAWAYS 
Vendors are welcome to host giveaways and drawings during the event, however winners must be announced within 24 hours of the event and you must contact the winner with information on how to collect their prize. Look Local First and Jasper Winery are not responsible for delivering prizes.
